Isla de sa Porrassa, also known locally as “La Porrassa” or colloquially as “La Gata Negra.” The islet takes its name from the nearby estate or possessió “Sa Porrassa” in Calvià, from which it inherited not only its name but its early economic role.
It’s the uninhabited islet, approximately 400 meters from the beach. The island is a landmark attraction. From the 1960s onward, holidaymakers have swum, pedaloed, or hopped over on jet skis from Magaluf Beach to explore its shores each summer.
